stilecht in L.A...

…wir haben doch schon was vorgebucht.

Wir wollten ja alles spontan vor Ort klar machen. Nun ja, da wir 10 Tage unseres Trips alleine in L.A. verbringen wollen, dachte wir das wir dort auch stilecht hausen wollen! Direkt am Sunset Blvd… :)
Damit diesem Plan auch nichts mehr in die Quere kommen kann, haben wir nun ein grandioses Hotel ausfindig gemacht wo wir diese Zeit in L.A. verbringen werden. Die Wahl viel auf das Grafton on Sunset!

So ist es auch kein Problem mal das Nachtleben von L.A. zu erkunden ohne das einer von uns beiden fahren muss und wir haben einen zentralen Ausgangspunkt für unsere Touren rund um L.A.!

kleiner Tip bzgl. Mietwagen am Rande…
Da wir den Mietwagen in einem anderen Bundesstaat abgeben als wir in mieten, mussten wir feststellen das sich das die meisten Vermieter richtig dick bezahlen lassen. Für die Rückführung des Autos verlangen manche bis zu $600 extra… Hier hat sich die gründliche Suche nach einem günstigen Vermieter am meisten gelohnt!

So, und jetzt sind es auch nur noch 2 Wochen, dann geht’s los! :)

1700 miles - 2 photographers - 1 car - a roadtrip through the USA...

... was bedeutet der Untertitel?

Vor einigen Tagen bekam ich einen Anruf von einem guten Freund und klasse Fotografen aus Köln. - "Hey Keule, Bock auf nen Roadtrip?"
Da ein Roadtrip durch die USA schon eine Weile auf meiner ToDo Liste stand, mir bisher nur immer die Begleitung fehlte, war meine Antwort kurz und bündig: "Gebongt!"

Das ganze kommt recht kurzfristig, denn Anfang März gehts schon los. Teymur befindet sich zu der Zeit schon in den Staaten mit einem anderen Projekt, ich stoße dann ab dem 04.03. dazu. Ich werde in Houston (TX) landen und von dort aus startet dann auch unser Roadtrip.

Die (bisherigen) Eckdaten:
Houston - Las Vegas - Los Angeles
Das ganze ergibt eine Gesamtstrecke von mehr als 1700 Meilen (2800 km).

Flüge und Mietwagen sind gebucht, den Rest wollen wir spontan vor Ort klar machen.

Wir haben uns ein paar Projekte für den Roadtrip überlegt (Fotografie & Film) welche wir während des Trips verfolgen wollen, unsere ToDo und ToVisit Liste wächst täglich! Wir werden beide so oft es geht darüber bloggen und einfach schauen was auf uns zukommt...

i had this idea a while ago but don't exactly know how to create it... big flames in my hands ...so these day, during my holiday, I've tried several way's. This is the one i like the most.

the trickiest part was to create the flames, paint them through the fingers and to get such a clear look...
